WANTED: an experienced Head Teacher to help launch and lead the academic side of a brand-new language school in Hiroshima. You'll be building the teaching team from scratch, setting quality standards before habits calcify, and working directly with the founders on curriculum direction. Responsibilities
- Build and lead the founding teacher team
- Establish curriculum standards and lesson quality benchmarks
- Recruit, train, and onboard new teachers
- Work directly with founders on academic strategy
- Conduct observations and ongoing teacher coaching
- Set up systems for progress tracking and reporting
Requirements
- 2+ years' ESL teaching experience
- 2+ years in a leadership or management role
- CELTA/DELTA or equivalent
- Comfortable building processes from scratch
- Strong leadership and communication skills
